Richie Sambora may be in the clear of any child endangerment charges but there’s still an ongoing battle inside the Laguna Beach PD where the brass has recommended that charges be field against the Bon Jovi guitarist for his DUI bust on March 26. It’s being said that a significant number of officers in the department feel there’s no evidence of child endangerment. In order to file charges, prosecutors look to the actual behavior of the suspect. In Richie’s case, he exhibited no “dangerous conduct”. The reason why he was stopped in the first place was because his big Hummer had crossed the line in which it was supposed to be traveling. It may be function of how large the vehicle was and not because Richie was impaired. Richie was even cooperative and responsive at the scene and even gave a blood sample for toxicology tests.
