Michael Phelps to be immortalized on a cereal box
And surprise, surprise, IT’S NOT ON WHEATIES!
We all knew that he would be swamped with endorsements and other projects, but we didn’t know they would start before the Olympics were even over over. Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes and Corn Flakes officially released the box art for their cereal featuring, Mr. I-want-to-earn-8-gold-medals this year at the Olympics.
This announcement however didn’t please everyone. Many have become angered by his decision.
As we all know, Frosted Flakes has three times the amount of sugar as Wheaties and it has 1/3rd the fiber. Many health experts are now criticizing him for his decision; they are worried that he may be sending the wrong message to the young ones.
Traditionally, sports superstars endorse Wheaties as it is more healthful that Kellogg’s, however Phelps and his agent were probably too blinded by the money they were offered to take this into consideration.
