Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn has filed for legal separation from his wife Robin Wright Penn, it has been claimed.
The couple originally filed for a separation in December 2007 but reconciled in April 2008. Earlier this year, the pair attended the Academy Awards together and Penn picked up the Best Actor award for his role in Milk.
Penn reportedly filed for “legal separation with minor children” from his actress wife on April 24 2009, according to US show EXTRA.
The couple married in 1996 and they have two children Dylan, 17, and Hopper, 15, together.
Back in 2007, it was claimed Wright had filed for divorce citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ in court papers, but reports suggested he had been spotted with another woman.
