Sacha Baron Cohen sued for ruining charity directors sex life
British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is being sued by a woman who claims that his outrageous character, Bruno, has ruined her sex life.
Richelle Olson and her husband have slapped Cohen with a lawsuit for “unspecified damages”, after claming they can no longer have “marital relations”.
Olson alleges she has been “left crippled” in a wheelchair after being attacked by Cohen – who was in character as gay Austrian designer Bruno at the time – in a bingo hall in 2007.
Richelle Olson, the executive director of Desert Valley Charities, is now suing Cohen, NBC Universal and others, claiming they told her that Bruno was a celebrity and would call numbers at the charity bingo game that she ran for the elderly in Palmdale, California.
In the lawsuit, Olson alleges Bruno “used vulgar and offensive language” and that when she tried to take the mic from him, “a physical struggle ensued”.
She also claims that Cohen “offensively touched, pushed and battered” her, causing her to fall to the ground.
Olson then claims that three cameramen and others rushed the stage “where defendants attacked [her] for a period of one to five minutes, to intentionally create a dramatic emotional response… while [they] recorded her humiliation and embarrassment”.
The suit says that after the melée, Olson was rushed to hospital with a “diagnosis of two brain bleeds” – and that she has been confined to a wheelchair ever since.
