Katherine Jackson awarded temporary guardianship of Michael Jackson’s three children

Michael Jackson’s mother has been granted temporary custody of the pop star’s three children.

Katherine Jackson filed paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court for guardianship of Paris, Prince, who is named as Michael Jnr in the papers, and Prince Jnr.

A judge has ruled that grandmother Katherine will be the sole guardian for the kids until a hearing on the matter next Monday. Another hearing has also been scheduled for August 3.

Katherine, 78, is asking in the papers to put her in charge of the trio because the papers state the kids: “Have no relationship with their biological mother.”

The papers add: “The minors’ father is deceased. The minors have no relationship with their biological mother. Minor children are currently residing with paternal grandmother.

“They have a long established relationship with paternal grandmother and are comfortable in her care.”

However, the petition says it’s “not known at this time whether the mother (Rowe) agrees that Katherine should be the legal guardian”.

The petition also states the value of Michael Jackson’s assets are unknown at this time.

For Paris and Prince, the box for mother is ticked and Debbie Rowe’s name is stated, although her address is listed as ‘unknown’.

But for Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II, the box where it says ‘mother’ is checked “none”.

The petition also states that Rowe must be served the papers at least 15 days before the August 3 hearing and the papers are being sent to the Department of Children and Family Services, State Department of Social Service and Katherine’s husband and Jacko’s dad Joe Jackson.michael-jackson-image2
