Hollywood actress Julia Roberts will be scrubbing temple floors as part of her devotional duty in new movie Eat, Pray, Love

Hollywood actress Julia Roberts will be scrubbing temple floors as part of her devotional duty in new movie Eat, Pray, Love.
Julia, 41, will play the lead role in the movie, based upon the book of the same name by US author Elizabeth Gilbert.
In the movie, Roberts takes on the role of Gilbert who travelled around the world for a year visiting Italy, India and Bali.
Pushcart Prize winner Gilbert scrubbed the temple floors as part of her duty and in the book she talks about the troubles she experienced with a 182-verse Sanskrit chant as well as her attempt at meditating while being pursued by mosquitoes.
The film has been defined by a critic as “the worst in Western fetishisation of Eastern thought and culture”.
Acclaimed Hindu statesman, Rajan Zed, has said that he is available for guidance if the filmmaker needs help depicting Hinduism.
