A US judge has ruled that Austin Powers star Verne Troyer is not a threat to his ex-girlfriend’s safety.

Model Yvette Monet’s request for a temporary restraining order to be made permanent against Troyer was today dismissed by a judge in a Los Angeles court.

Monet split from the Mini-Me star a few months ago and since the break-up, she has claimed that she has lived in fear of her life after receiving threatening messages from the 2ft 8in-tall actor.

According to court papers filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court in October, Monet claimed that Troyer had been bombarding her with texts and emails, despite her repeated requests for him to stop and that he also sent threatening messages telling her to “watch herself”.

She said at the time: “He keeps emailing me, calling me and texting me awful messages like, ‘I hope god is with you’… He calls me names, like ‘hooker’. He sends me stuff through the mail. He will not stop…”

She added: “He said his friend Burt is carrying guns and will do anything he says. And his friend Jose is a cop and has guns as well. I’m afraid for my life.”

Last year, Troyer was hit by another scandal when a sex-tape featuring him and another ex-girlfriend, Renae Shrider, was leaked on the internet.
