Rupert Everett was ‘absolutely desperate’ to appear on Piers Morgan’s chat show
Hollywood actor Rupert Everett was said to be ‘absolutely desperate’ to appear on Piers Morgan’s chat show – but he was turned down.
Everett, 50, recently made some comments about Morgan, 44, and the TV host hit back by revealing the actor’s plea to appear on his show.
Morgan wrote in his column in UK magazine Live: “Rupert Everett has been bleating away about me again, saying, ‘Piers Morgan does these interviews where he has taken that amazing thing of [Michael] Parkinson’s, which was to say nothing funny or interesting and be loved for it’.
“Just for the record, Mr Everett was absolutely desperate to do my recent series of Life Stories, but I sadly concluded he wasn’t, ironically, either funny or interesting enough and therefore refused his advances.”
Morgan has interviewed celebrities such as Dannii Minogue, Sharon Osbourne, Katie Price and Vinnie Jones for the show.
