Screen caps of Britney Spears making her cameo in Madonna’s concert video have surfaced. A source Brit’s camp told E! News “The video will be very deep. You’ve never seen Britney like this before. It will blow your mind.” The 26-year old recovering pop star is seen in an elevator wearing a hoodie. Another shot of her shows her with black pants and a white tank top. The footage will air during the Queen of Pop’s upcoming ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour which will kick off at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on August 23. I wonder what she actually does in the video.
Britney Spears is looking way better than ever and maybe that’s why she’s getting offered to do some pretty big jobs. The recovering starlet was supposed to shoot her video montage for Madonna’s upcoming ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour in Hollywood but several technical glitches and other production delays with the elevator they were going to use put a damper on it. A source from Brit’s camp says “The video will be very deep. You’ve never seen Britney like this before. It will blow your mind.” Madonna’s publicist Liz Rosenberg also spoke on the matter saying “There is footage being shot of Britney some time this week in conjunction with Madonna’s upcoming tour. That is all the information I have available. The rest is a secret.”
Amy Winehouse may have tuberculosis. Doctors fear her symptoms of coughing up blood, weight loss and lack of appetite point toward the deadly disease – more commonly known as TB. The 24-year-old has been in hospital on a drip since she collapsed at home on Monday.
A friend of the ‘Back to Black’ singer said: “Amy is in a bad way. Doctors are still struggling to control her irregular heartbeat but the chest condition has been really worrying them. She has been suffering horrible coughing fits and hurling up blood for a while but refused to be examined. Doctors now believe it is tuberculosis and are doing more tests to be certain.”
Amy’s family and friends hope the diagnosis could shock Amy into quitting drugs for good. The pal added: “Things sound really bad but at least now they have found something specific it will be easier to keep her in hospital and free from drugs. The word tuberculosis might frighten her into getting herself well. It certainly should do. She needs to realise she will die if she doesn’t clean up her act.”
Amy is scheduled to play Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert in London and the Glastonbury festival in Somerset this month. Her spokesperson said the singer still plans to honour the commitments – but only if doctors will let her. The spokesperson said: “At present she still intends to perform at her two scheduled dates next week. However the decision will be made entirely on the advice of her doctors and in her best interests. Amy has undergone more scans and tests and we are awaiting the verdict of her doctors.”
Tuberculosis is transmitted by droplets in the air, and is usually more common in developing countries. Drug addicts, alcoholics and those with poor diets are more susceptible to the disease because of their reduced immune systems.
TB requires six months of medication and if left untreated attacks most organs, resulting in likely death.
Avril Lavigne is really milking the excuse that she’s been sick as the Canadian singer has angered what little fans she had left by canceling her show in Anaheim, California on Saturday with less than an hour before it was scheduled to start. Now that is cold! Her scheduled show in Los Angeles on Sunday was also cancelled. Who actually believes that she’s sick and just resting at home? For all we know, she could be throwing a party for not having to work for 2 days. She should just come out and admit it that it’s due to poor ticket sales that she’s cancelled several shows already.
Country music superstars Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban have been sharing the stage together on their ‘Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride’ tour. While Keith is pretty happy with his love life and is awaiting the arrival of his child with Nicole Kidman, Carrie says her love life sucks. At their stop at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland earlier this week, a newly single Carrie lamented about the lack of romance in her life. She says “I don’t know how y’alls’ dating life is, but mine’s not so great.” In other words, she’s single and looking people. Apply within.
Avril Lavigne stunned a lot (or should I say a few?) of her concertgoers at her Montreal show last Wednesday with her incredible lack of Canada’s geography. The singer got the proud locals pissed at her when she made a mistake by saying “I love you Montreal, I’m so happy to be back home…in ONTARIO, CANADA!” Here’s a refresher course for you non-Canadians, Montreal is a city in the Canadian province of Quebec. Ontario is a completely different place. If Avril was an American or some other nationality, I’m sure she would have been forgiven easily. Too bad she happens to be Canadian.
