Debbie Rowe was among the first to view Michael Jackson’s This Is It, taking in an afternoon show in Calabasas the day after the world premiere.

Rowe, a former wife of Jackson and the biological mother of two of his children, was spotted leaving a cinema in the upmarket LA suburb with Marc Schaffel, a former adviser to the late king of pop.

She appeared casually dressed but looked tired in the photo of the pair that surfaced.

Rowe has kept well out of the spotlight following Jackson’s sudden death on June 25, relinquishing a potential battle for custody of the children and staying away from the star’s public memorial.

Debbie Rowe, Michael Jackson’s ex-wife who acted as a surrogate for the King of Pop’s two eldest children, was reportedly paid $4 million from her former mother-in-law to relinquish her parental rights for good. A source said “It’s one final payday. They felt it was like a ransom-type thing. [Rowe] jumped back into the picture because she wanted money.” The source is also saying that this is the third time that Debbie has been given money to disappear from the children’s lives. After the birth of Prince Michael and Paris, Debbie agreed to step aside and let the late singer raise them in exchange for $8million, plus $900,000 annually for 5 years. The second was in 2001 when Michael was in the middle of his molestation case when she gave full custody for another $4 million plus a $900,000 home.

Debbie Rowe’s lawyer has denied claims Debbie is not the biological mother of Michael Jackson’s two eldest children.

It was recently claimed that Debbie was just a surrogate for the children and that her eggs weren’t actually used to conceive the children.

However Rowe’s lawyer has come out and insisted her client is the biological mother of Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11.

Her lawyer Marta Almli said “We refuse to be drawn into addressing the various rumours and speculation swirling in the media.

“The vast majority of what is out there is untrue.

“Particularly hurtful and insidious is the most recent rumour – which is entirely false – concerning the maternity of the children. Ms. Rowe is the biological mother of the two eldest children.”
