Swiss authorities have knocked back a second bail offer from Roman Polanski.
A lawyer for the fugitive film director, Herve Temime, had called the offer a “very, very significant” cash amount.

Director Roman Polanski is depressed in the confinement of a Swiss jail, says lawyer, Herve Temime.
Temime visited Polanski at the Zurich prison where he has been held for two weeks since Swiss authorities arrested him on a 1978 American warrant over unlawful sex with a minor 30 years ago.
