This probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone… and film maker David Gordon Green thinks the same. It seems that Marilyn Manson will be staring in a horror movie entitled “Splatter Sisters” and he’ll be on the set with his fiancée, Evan Rachel Wood, too. This is what David Gordon Green said about these plans: “This is a role Marilyn Manson was born to play, and with Evan Rachel Wood bringing dramatic gravity to the ensemble, I have no doubt this will take the horror genre to a new level.” Right, because Marilyn Manson doesn’t make things dramatic enough, now he needs Evan Rachel Wood to do so too? And what levels are there left for slasher movies anyway? Including a goat?

Boy George is to stop thrashing others

Some might be aware of the fact that Boy George has somewhat of a reputation for uninspired criticism, to say the least. However, the singer recently declared that he would no longer keep to this bad habit of his. Here’s what Boy George said on the matter: “My days of slagging people off are over. I’m very conscious now that if I’m going to say something, it’s going to be something useful.” Boy George might find that to be a bit difficult… it’s not too easy to come up with anything when it has to actually be useful. But perhaps one day… with practice!

John Mayer’s free show

The man sure knows how to play the crowds, doesn’t he? It seems John Mayer recently held a free concert for the students at the University of South Carolina last night. John Mayer let everybody know about it with a twitter post a few hours before the show and at the end of it he had this to say to his fans: “Thank you for helping us out! This is the way you should rehearse a show.” Smart man, that John Mayer is! Just look at that: free guinea pigs! Of course, there were only five hundred of them, but what could you expect on such short notice?

Marilyn Manson Settles Lawsuit

Marilyn Manson has settled a lawsuit from former band mate Stephen Bier, aka Madonna Wayne Gacy, who sued the shock rock singer for breach of contract, asking for $20 million in LA Superior Court back in 2007. Bier claimed in the lawsuit that Manson used money from their band partnership for personal use. Manson countersued saying that Bier breached the contract by not fully participating in master recordings, concert performances and helping in selling merchandise. The two finally reached a settlement recently for an undisclosed amount. Well it’s about time! Bier’s lawyers are also filing a lien for unpaid attorney fees now that the musician has received a settlement.

Michael Jackson’s estate getting sued again:

They probably never thought they’d have this much trouble after the poor bloke died, did they? Well, it seems that Michael Jackson left his mansion in Las Vegas in a big mess and his landlord, Aner Iglesias, is suing the estate because he claims the repairs cost 234000 dollars. For a sickly and weak man, Michael Jackson sure did a lot of damage. He must’ve had some very wild parties over there. Oh well, Aner Iglesias should go to Joe Jackson with his claims, he will most certainly be successful in his endeavor, Joe Jackson, in all his good-heartedness, will probably even reward him for his vigilance.

John Mayer is no pot smoker

He’s just a very open-minded man. On a recent occasion, John Mayer really had a very interesting thing to say regarding smoking pot: “I don’t consider myself a pot smoker. I consider myself someone who occasionally decides to give smoking pot another chance. If theres a single malt scotch in heaven, I’ll be a happy man.” Well, well… so that’s where John Mayer gets his inspiration. His supplier must not be getting him the best stuff, or maybe the whiskey is actually off. Or is it that lack of intercourse John Mayer has been complaining of that is really the problem. Whatever the case, he’d better stop whishing for Heaven because it’s very doubtful they have fairy powder up there.

Miley Cyrus’ dark show

There was an accident involving Miley Cyrus’ concert crew: it seems that the driver transporting the lights and their operators got into an accident. The operators got injured and the lights got destroyed, but most sadly of all, the driver lost his life. Still, Miley Cyrus is adhering to the age old principle of “the show must go on” and she will be singing as scheduled… like the true artist that she is. Even overlooking the fact that she has no lights for the show, what about the age-old premise of a moment of silence for someone who’s just passed on… or at least a night? Or isn’t that in the ticket sales plan?

At least this is what producer Timbaland strongly believes. After having worked with Miley Cyrus on his new album, he firmly believes that she will be big. This is what Timbaland said about Miley Cyrus: “Man, she’s gonna be like Justin. She comes from that same musical background, where she’s just got it. Her voice is just there. The best way to put it is she’s special. When I worked with her, I was very impressed. I was like, ‘Whoa.’” Really? What kind of work did the two of them do anyway that Miley Cyrus managed to impress him so much? Justin Timberlake should get cracking… no prince should lose his crown this quick!

It seems the legendary pop icon foresaw the event of his death and took precautions so that the world would not be deprived of his talent and generations to come could feed upon his genius. Michael Jackson apparently had 3-D scans so that the data thus obtained could be used to create a robotic duplicate of him. The owner of that data is trying to sell it for one million dollars… and he also had a bit to say about Michael Jackson’s real legacy: “The data has been in our archives since he had the scans. The thing about this data is it immortalized him at the age of 37, before his nose was disfigured and when he was in the prime of his life.” Well isn’t that just great… soon, there will be a Michael Jackson performing a show in every country at the same time. The dude should really raise the price a notch… AEG Live will jump at this in a heartbeat.

It seems that the singer has really turned the comedian right side up… not that that wasn’t more or less obvious, but Russell Brand seems to like reminding everybody from time to time. Here’s his latest statement on his relationship with Katy Perry: “I’ve been really happy in the last couple of months. All I know is that I have met someone who I like and makes me happy. I am very much fulfilled. Having met Katy she has certainly been a catalyst in changing my life but I have been changing my life for myself first and foremost, because it’s a better way for me to be living at this time.” It seems Katy Perry has really managed to turn his world around… especially his perception of time, since it has been only a moth since they’ve been together. And he really wants to throw that away by getting married?

Joe Jackson seeks estate income

After the death of Michael Jackson, it seems that Joe Jackson has been left with no steady source of income and he is now trying to obtain a monthly revenue from his son’s estate, even though Michael Jackson stated in his will that this will be provided only for his mother and children. Apparently Joe Jackson has a 15000 dollar a month lifestyle and he only gets a security check of 1700. Really captain Herbal-Life? Whatever happened to all of the revenues he was supposed to get from “This is It” and the other funds he sponged off of Michael Jackson’s death? What Swiss bank account is that money in?

It seems that even though many months have passed from the pop legend’s death, his old creditors just don’t want to stop poking at his savings… it must be because of Michael Jackson’s alleged earnings of 90 million dollars after his death. A law firm, Mundell, Odlum and Haws apparently claims that Michael Jackson owes them loads of legal fees… 1.5 million dollars of them to be exact. They claim they have provided their services from December of 2007 right until June 24 2009, one day before Michael Jackson’s death. Well, what’s 1.5 million out of 90 million? You have to wonder how many more of these old-bill seekers will be showing up now that the revenues for “This is It” are probably starting to flow into Michael Jackson’s estate. They’re probably going to have a hard time getting by Joe Jackson, though!

Miley Cyrus still has a stalker

The man who was apparently saying that he is engaged to Miley Cyrus and that she had been sending him secret messages through Hannah Montana, Mark McLeod of 53, was not found to be guilty of stalking and so no restraining order has been released. So the man is free to roam the country-side in search of Miley Cyrus so that he can convince her once and for all that she and him are meant to spend all of eternity together. It looks like Miley Cyrus is in for a few more exciting weeks… guess now she’ll really have something to tweet about.

”This is It” director pulls out from project:

It seems that Kenny Ortega, the director of the long-awaited Michael Jackson documentary, “This is It”, has pulled out from the remake of Footloose due to some budgetary considerations with Paramount Pictures. Apparently Kenny Ortega wanted 30 million and Paramount was going to supply only 25. So it’s the end of the line as far as remaking Footloose is concerned. What did the guys at Paramount Pictures expect anyway, after making Michael Jackson’s “This is It”, Kenny Ortega really doesn’t have the patience for any of these low-budget projects now, he’s in the big games. Oh well, better luck next time!

Lily Allen criticized by the Reverend

The singer recently received a bit of harsh criticism from Reverend and the Makers frontman, Jon McClure, who thinks Lily Allen’s campaigning against file sharing is a waste of energy: “We’ve got war in Iraq, Afghanistan, bankers are taking the piss, plus we’re melting the ice caps. There’s a lot to be angry about. What upsets me is last week Lily Allen came out and said, ‘We’ve got to campaign against file sharing. We’re going to tell politicians to shut down kids’ internets. What a crying shame it is that all you can get angry or upset about is kids taking your music.” Jon McClure apparently advises Lily Allen that she should get her priorities straight. Now that was hardly necessary… she has most assuredly already done that. After all, what would matter more: extra income from copyrights, or saving the earth?
